Just returned from my annual Idaho trip. Four hunters and four bulls. Great place to hunt elk. Opening morning ten minutes after daylight my season was over. A three year old five point. Had to shoot right past a rag horn to get to the five. The rag horn had another horn coming sraight up between his main beams and was as tall as his other horns. One of my partners score a couple of hours after daylight with a nice five. He chased him for two hours at 9000 ft. Before getting a good shot. Not much air at that elevation for us coastal people. My other partner shot a real nice six point the third day. My son showed up on the fourth day of season and had to hunt five days before getting a four point. He was making a hunt on a bigger bull when the four point got between him and the bigger bull. So he pretty much had to take the little one as time was getting short. A good year for me as I was with both my kids this year when they got their elk. My daughter got her first this year with a bow. Would post pics if I knew how.
