Anyone looking for a chocolate lab?
I recieved this email today. I would love another, but I have two already. Anyone interested let me know and I'll forward your contact info. Thanks!
Dave
Subject: Dog that needs a home.
Hello friends and family,
I have, reluctantly, reached the decision that our chocolate lab, Lacey, needs to have a new home. She is a happy, sweet and loving dog. However, she is not at all good with our small animals. We have lost a number of young ducks and geese this year, had chickens injured and yesterday lost our new kitten, because of Lacey. I feel that the best choice at this time is to find a new home for her.
I am asking for your help. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in her, please let me know as soon as possible. Following is her information:
She is an AKC, purebread, chocolate lab, 18 mos. old., current on all vaccinations and worming w/ no known health concerns.
She is sensitive to food changes. It is reccomended that she continue with the Nutro brand food that she is currently on. Changing, or adding to, her diet could result in a reaction that would appear as a skin rash. As long as she is kept on her current brand she should be just fine.
She is not spayed.
She has a very impressive bloodline with many champions (including Junior, Senior and Master Hunter titles) in her background. Her sire was National Show Champion a few years ago.
She has a strong, natural hunting instinct. Indications are that she will develop into a very good hunting companion. Her mother and maternal grantparents are all great hunters.
We own her mother. Lacey was born at our home, so she has always been with us.
I want to find her a home that is interested in "adding a new member to their family", not just someone who wants good breeding bloodlines.
The other pups from her litter sold for $400 to $450. I am willing to give her to an approved home. I think her ideal home would be one with no other small animals, and children (if any) that are at least grade school age. *She has NEVER shown ANY signs of aggression towards our kids - NOT EVER. She has always been kind and affectionate to them.
This is going to be a difficult transition for our family, especially for Cody (he is young and very close to her). I would like to find her a new home as soon as possible. This weekend would be wonderful. I would appreciate any help you could offer towards finding her a new home.
Thanks so much,
