Default Paulina Unit Elk

Well, for the third year my group of 3 failed to draw elk tags. We still feel the need to get out there (we've hunted together for 31 years) so are planning to hunt Paulina for the first time. Would appreciate any info and advice. Not asking for GPS coordinates, but any general info would be great. Have heard there is alot of road hunting in this unit, HATE ROAD HUNTING!, so any advice on areas away from those that don't like to wear out their boots would be appreciated.

Wishin,
If you go out HWY 31 to the 12 mile marker take a left, and start your hunt, look for fresh tracks crossing the road.
Hwy 31 heads east and is just south of Lapine.

There well be alot of hunter but for the people who I know who hunt this area, they do real well good luck, be safe. RIVER-RAT.
