Wilson Unit doe tag
I put in for a doe tag somewhere else and ended up with my second choice the Wilson unit. Hunted sunday morning and only saw two 4 point bulls, does anyone have any suggestions on where to take a doe in the Wilson unit. I drove up some roads behind Jones Creek camp.

Gods valley area...hunt the clear cuts or spur roads in the immediate area. With the rut, deer should be moving all day.

Re: Wilson Unit doe tag
There is a few roads past the rest stop on 26, that we used to see alot of deer in , haven't been there in awhile
. I think at the top it changed some but if you can find your way through ,some nice cuts back there.

Re: Wilson Unit doe tag
I have the same problem. We hit some roads off the Kilchis and saw no deer. We also hit some roads off the Nehalem and didn't see any deer there either. We hunted Sunday eve, all day Monday, and Tuesday morning. I can't believe we didn't see any deer. Where are they at?

roads, roads, roads, ..... Just cause it's a doe don't mean you don't gotta work a little for her. Get out of the truck, walk, glass, shoot! Gut, Drag, drive, hang, skin, cut up, eat! It's pretty simple really =)

In em you read my mind. All I see is "I drove up this road, that road, the next road," get out of the truck and do some hunting. The deer are there. Cody

Re: Wilson Unit doe tag
They must've all gone to the other side of Hwy. 6. I hunted the Trask Unit last weekend and filled my tag pretty easy. Lots of deer around.

Re: Wilson Unit doe tag
1. Find just about any clearcut bordered by big timber, re-prod, and limited road acess .
2. Park 1/2 mile away and walk in.
3. Sit, watch, glass, shoot.

Re: Wilson Unit doe tag
The area I was hunting off the Kilchis is private property with no road access. We were hiking and glassing the whole time. Still did not see any deer. When we were over by the Nehalem, the only driving was to get to some places to glass.
