it was so windy nothing was around. they where all over in the state refuge only thing i saw was a lone windboarder

Hunted SI Eastside on Mudhen. Thick fog in the morning until about 10 am and then the sun came out. No wind, just frog water.
A buddy and myself managed 8 birds for a half day's effort. Until the rain gets going I definently recommend having a dog or limiting your shots to less than 25 yds due to the weeds on Mudhen. We lost no birds but witnessed several birds being lost due to wingshot cripples sailing into the weeds.

My buddy went to the point on johnson they shot 14 birds for two guys by noon. very good day even with the fog for him and his son.

Stupid question:
Wasn't Sauvies closed today(10/22)??? Last Saturday was opener, so today it should be closed and Sunday is the hunt day. Am I right or...???
The hunt day is tomorrow right? People were hunting East side today??? Isn't today an "OFF" day?
I'm obviously confused about the hunt days for S.I. so please explain.
