I have never heard of crappie and roll mop. Can you please describe how you rig this bait up?

I was out by Mult. Falls last week and it was pretty slow. Admittedly, I am very rusty at setting the bite, probably need some help with that. I used smelt, both frozen and pickeled and it seemed like the frozen worked better.

Roll mop is a great year round bait. But the company who makes it will no longer be doing so. Which means i need to find a new productive year round bait. I was out today, lower in the than you will be. My buddy and I got around 35 fish to the boat. And we managed to each get a keeper and released four other keeper sized fish . the fish were all caught on sandshrimp or squid. What a great day on the water. Hope you get into some fish tomorrow

Good luck and tight lines

Not likely......

but if they do quit supplying the product buy plain old pickled herring CHUNKS..same product..without the pickle inside.(well it's label says wine pickled or something)

the only problem is the enhanced price and a smaller jar

Roll mop, sand shrimp and worms. Keep the bait the size of your pinky and wrap it tight. Fish'll almost hook themselves if you wrap your bait right. Remember, you don't want any spin. Keep you lead line long enough to keep from bouncing off the rocks on the bottom up there. Three and a half feet oughta do it.

I'd rather catch it from the bank. Whatever it is.

Crappie is not a fish hook but a fish. They are caught around structure like docks and bridges. I have caught them at St Johns bridge and they work great as sturgeon bait.

Papa..

Insert a comma, or period after Fish and before hook

"roll mop is pickeled herring and crappie is a fish, hook it up just like smelt but roll mop i use nylons and put night crawlers on the outside for texture"

pickle juice

Fished that area today using smelt only. No trouble at the ramp (Fishery). Water is low though. Very windy today. Couldn't keep the shakers off. No keepers. Didn't see or hear of a keeper. Saw a guide at the cleaning station in the campground cleaning and filleting a 30" and 20" sturgeon...maybe he knows something I don't???
