Hello to all you dedicated fishermen and fisherwomen..
I'am your newest fry member but I have viewed this web site for many years. I have found so much usefull info here and it is my hope that I many be able to pass on (somewhat) limited info to you as I can. I call central oregon my home and have lived here all my days, the deschutes is my home river and the cove or called (LakeBilly chinook)is my home lake. I have fished on the Deschutes,Columbia, and John Day. But my favorite fishing times have been in Tilly bay and on the Big Blue. So with that said here is my fish story...
Many years ago myself and a couple of close friends made a trip to the willamette river. I launched somewere close to the sellwood bridge, we started the day out so excited to try a new body of water. We stayed close to the bridge pilings as that was were the other boats were, we trolled and trolled and trolled. Was dead action for us yet we
saw other people catching fish, Id try to get some feed from them but they were tight lipped you might say.
As the day wore on and on we ended up over by a high wall on the west side of the river. The day was hot and the fishing so slow it almost lulled us to sleep.. Bang then she hit, one of our rods began bouncing and shaking, Fish-ON it was great.. yelling and screaming all around us, almost felt like winning a big race EXCEPT the screamming was coming from the poor fisherfellow that was bank fishing from the top of that wall

. Id say we dragged his line over 50 yards, he wasnt very happy.. oops.
Reel Em up boys were heading home...
