Default Lowrance making thing right

I have a Lowrance GPS that I purchased July of last year.
I also installed a radar system about 8 months ago.
The problem that I was having was when I turned on the radar I would loose the GPS. I worked with both Fishermans Marine and with Rogers Electronics who both stated that this was a fault with Lowrance equipment and that I needed to get the GPS antena as far away from the radar as possible. I ended up with the GPS receiver about 4' above the radar and still continued to have periodic problems. Last week I was informed that Lowrance has fixed their problem with a new antena that is shielded against radar.
I got hold of Lowrance who informed me that the new antena has only been out for a couple of weeks but if I returned mine they would swap it for the new one. I appreciate their help and customer service. I was just about ready to go with another brand. Just posting this in case any of you are having the same problem and have not been able to resolve.
