Default Who would be interested in a Corvallis TA meeting?

So the season seems to be pretty close to wrapped up and I thought we all might like a get together to console and gloat as may seem fit. I am willing to take suggestions for more places to meet, those are the only ones I could think of right off hand. who is interested?

It looks like a quietly resounding yes for a weeknight. Get your votes in and lets strat discussing date time and place???

I voted for Woodstocks because thats where we did it last time and they were very good to us, besides I can walk there from my house

I am open to other locations. As for date tuesdays are best for me...Should we go with the 25th or Nov 1st?

Het guys as you are probably aware I am new to ifish this year. I have been enjoying the interaction and sharing of knowlegdge. I have not met any of you personally other than a couple of south coast friends prior to joining ifish. I have never been to a TA meeting so my question is, is it by invitation only? or can anyone come? I would hate to think that I had to suffer my addiction alone

Albacore,

Good question, but the truth is there isn't ANYTHING the Salty Dogs do that requires an invitation, except maybe an open seat on a tuna run.

Whether it's an offshore run, a Tunaholics meeting, or the big convention in Feb, all that's required is just to show up. You'll see what I mean when you get there.

Do it!

I haven't gone either and I'm afraid to,.....I might start fishing for Tuna after hearing the stories. That would mean a bigger boat.

All Ifishers are welcome, not just the salty dogs or invited guests. Unless someone wants to volunteer to bring movies and do demonstrations this will just be a get together with B/S session and maybe pool in a few pizzas.

The general consensus is that Tuesday November 1st would be good for most everyone. I will make the call to arrange to room at Woodstocks. Should we say after work 6PMish?

UPDATE
the Back room was reserved for November 1st, BUT the fine people at woodstocks have agreed to set aside a section of their restaurant for our enjoyment. So when you come in look to the left we will be in the main dining area.

I will get there between 5-6PM to post my portable burgee and order a round of pizza and root beer.

I'll be there. DipSea Diver has a class that night, but may skip it to come. I'll bring some rigging in case anyone wants to see how we lash 'em up. I'll even bring my Avet and show you how I drilled and tapped 'em so they would hold together. I may even tell you how faaaaaarrrrr I can cast with one. WooooHoooo!!!

It will be good to see everyone.

Sorry you missed it, I had to leave early at &pm as my daughters drug out of the resaturant, but that was one of the most relaxed and fun groups of salty dogs I have been around in a long time!! I kinda like these local meetings and after season get togethers.
