Default gas theft at Garibaldi ramp?

Maybe I am halucinating and there are several things I can't confirm but I have a sneaking feeling I was ripped off yesterday while my truck was parked at Garibaldi.

I filled both tanks on my truck before leaving Portland as well as the tank in my boat. It took 9 gallons for the boat and 24 gallons for the truck. So I know I filled both tanks completely full. I drove to Garibaldi and fished the incoming and high slack. We got off after the second blast of wind started kicking up the bay just before the rain hit.

On the way home I switched to the second tank. It only had half of a tank full! (16 gal. tank)

Now I never checked the guage after filling to make sure I had a full tank in the second tank. But I have a sneaking suspicion that someone stole $25 in gas from me.

Anyone else have a similar experience? With the money spent on the launch fee is there anyone monitoring the parking lot?

Locking Gas caps are worth the investment.

I used to work as a deckhand in garibaldi and one day I came back and all the lugs on my rear tire had been loosened almost all the way. You never know in that town.

Could have been that the truck was never really full. Most of the gas pumps stop at $75.00 and most of the attendants just put the nozzle away and give you a receipt. I have this happen all the time and the first few times I thought I was full but wasn't.

Someone stole $25.00 of your gas?????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

WOW!?! Holy Cow!!?!?! my gas gauge doesn't even measure OUNCES.

Thats almost enough to fill a pen cap right?

Ok, I'm sorry I couldn't help it. I really do feel bad for ya, the same thing happend to me the other day. I filled up on my way home wed, and I ran out of gas on the freeway Thursday morn. My car used an ENTIRE tank sitting in the driveway over night. I think it got about .0000000005 MPG

I'm not sure if I was targeted for death. But I did have an ex-girlfriend in the area.

I live by my luck...someone once said it is better to be lucky than good, and I have to agree by it.
