Well thought I would give a story about the buck I got on Sunday in the Murders Creek unit. Saturday our group chased around a few bucks but didn't get any shooting in. Sunday morning I was overlooking a nice saddle till about 8am. I decided to move over and look at the ridge behind me and as I made my way over I spotted two bucks. They didn't seem to notice me so I crawled up to the top of the ridge and found a good rest. I estimated the range at around 300 yards. I dialed the buschnell up to 12X and let the first bullet fly. He hunched up at the shot and took a few steps. I chambered another round and fired again this time he piles up and hits the dirt. By this time the other buck takes off up the hill and my dad ends up being able to put his tag on the other buck. Found my first shot was right behind the front shoulder but a little high. The deer didn't seem to be in the area as much as previous years but we did get two. All in all it was a great trip. My buck was a 4x3 with eye gaurds and my dads buck was a small 4x4.
