Assistance needed
I'm picking up a yellow lab pup Saturday afternoon and have yet to settle on the "perfect" name. Any ideas would be most helpful.

Re: Assistance needed
What type of personality? The name needs to fit that too in order to be perfect.

Re: Assistance needed
Ooops.........sorry, I meant to add that.
He's a male.
Kinda hard to tell his disposition at this age. He'll be 6 wks. Saturday.
I swear this is harder than naming your kids...

If he's calm and laid-back, how about Mello-Yello!?

Re: Assistance needed
Tucker, Cisco or Bubba are some that I was thinking about for my lab I ended up naming my Chocolate Tyson. I think you can do a search on pets names and see a lot of different options,

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helv">Its fun naming your Dog have a great time. Had to comment on this one our 8 month male yellow/white lab is named Tucker - go figure. He is a #3 in personality/pack order meant to be a family dog. From a litter where the dad was a 3 and mom was a 5. It was his mom's first litter so we had to pick him up early since mom quit feeding them. He's 50lbs now 3 1/2 when we got him. Very mellow dog.
For Blacks here are a couple good ones; Porter, Stout, Guinness, gee they are all named after beer - wonder how that happened.
Lets see names: Duke, Champ, Archer, TUCKER, Boddie, Brodie, Buddy, Travis, Codie, Bubba, Tank.
If you're going to hunt him pick something that is short and can be communicated at distance and not sound like some other command.
Have fun and let us know what you pick

Have you picked your dog name yet?
Here's a link to over 25000 names.

Did you know Max is the most popular dog name in the US and Australia? (Means The Greatest in Latin)
Personally I like Barkely.
Letr us know what you decide on.

Re: Assistance needed
It is good to have some names in mind and let the dog name himself. After a few days you will get a feel for his disposition.

Re: Assistance needed
You're exactly right crabbait, and that is precisely what we did. I just got batteries for the camera and hope to post a pic (with name) tonight.
This has been sooooo hard.
