China is back in space
A rocket carrying the Shenzhou 6 capsule and the astronauts blasted off Wednesday morning (9 p.m. ET Tuesday) from the remote base in China’s northwest. In a break with the space agency’s typical secrecy, the launch was shown live on Chinese state television.
I think this is good news. I believe in space exploration and we can't do it alone. It will take a world effort and might be one thing that nations can cooperate on. Look at the US-Russian cooperation. China is ready to come to the table and we should work to bring them into the fold as far as space flights are concerned. "In a break with the space agency’s typical secrecy" is hopefully good news. If we can get more countries to provide funding towards a common goal then even I may live to see a flight to mars.
Wish them luck.
