Deer camera
Put camera out to get picture of a white and brown deer I saw in this area once. Got this instead. He is safe. He is a city limit blacktail.

Re: Deer camera
Maybe we can make a post of City limit bucks. I have seen some big ones around the Newberg/Sherwood/Dundee areas.

Re: Deer camera
Go to the main index, click on Life in General. The third topic down is how to post a picture. That is what I followed. I see you are form Newberg as well.

Re: Deer camera
One of the nicest bucks I've ever seen in person was a heavy typical 5x5 with eye gaurds, in the Vancouver city limits, and it lives in a wooded area of less than an acre. I think it's responsible for several does with a couple fawns and yearlings each, but I know there are a couple other bucks in the area. It's hard to see after coming home from a long day of unsuccesful hunting out in the sticks.

Re: Deer camera
The biggest blacktail I've ever seen was walking down the street in Corvallis. Giant (by blacktail standards) 4X4. I saw him several times in the graveyard near the house we rented. I'm always amazed that they don't get poached, but I'm sure a fair number do.

Re: Deer camera
My cousin use to patrol the Bullrun Water shed in his OSP truck. He alwasy carried cameras with him. You would freak if you could see the Bucks that are in there. Because they have little contact with humans you can get very close to them without spooking them.
He tried to get a Handicap hunt going up there but Portland City wouldn't have it.
I will see if he will let me use some of the photo's.
Huge bucks.
