Thinking of trying to catch some steelhead on the Wilson tomorrow. Any reports?

I'm thinkin it may be a bit early, Mike. Do a search for "steelhead" and select older than 11 months. You might, however, try the hospital hole or some of the other tidewater bank spots and float a bobber and eggs or a jig.. Stop at Maries (Tillamook Bait) and ask her where, what and how. Good luck

Don't mean to hijack this thead, but where exactly is the "Hospital" hole. I've hit the wilson a couple of times and usually end up fishing from the guide shop up. I thought most of the tidewater area was private, and didn't want to take the chance of trespassing. I'm still learning as I go and banking it the whole time.

There are a few Steelies in the river up near Jordan cr.If the summers won't bite might try for some fall fish in tidewater.

The hospital hole is on the other side of town by the hospital if you cross 101 from 18 its about 2-3 blks down yoou"ll see it cant miss it....good luck

at the end of 3rd street just before you go over the Bridge. There is a sign on the Barn. Stop and pay the lady $5 each

No fish for me today But had a good time anyway this time I let the family tag along. They had a blast and I had a good time so no complaints here. May try again in the morning. Vu gave me a place to try that I haven't hit yet.

No fish for me today either but did end up losing my stuff by geting hung in the rocks but hey it happens. Went on down to Tillamook Bait and saw Marie and decided to hit the hospital hole for the last 2 hours I had for fishing today and nada for me several nibbles but no fish. I did see someone just a bit down catch a nice salmon. Oh well thats it for me till next Monday or Tuesday.
