Default Eagle Creek Question

Where is the best place to fish eagle creek? Is it better to fish the creek itself or the clackamas river near the mouth of the creek? Any insight would be greatly appreciated?

I'm a new member. I have been viewing IFISH regularly for the past few months and finally have decided to actually get involved.

Welcome aboard...

You'll find that you'll get a lot more info if you post a little introduction and a fishing story so that people can get to know you.

As for Eagle Creek, I know quite a few folks around here fish there, so they probably have more knowledge than I do. There's some good access around the Eagle Fern Park area, though the creek was pretty small when I was there on Tuesday. Hopefully some of today's rain made its way up there to bring the creek up and some fresh fish with it. Good luck to you.

When I'm after winter steelies I usually walk about three or four miles and fish my way back, I dont think I've ever seen a tree house, so I guessed you walked farther than me.
About how far down did you go??

Not sure how many miles, but there is a spot named the tree house. We went a few holes down from there. Seen six other people down there. They have private property to cut across. If there is a next time I sure will bring water with me and a sea bag, what a hike out with a couple fish. The trail is so overgrown you have to go cross country most of the way. Free floating eggs seem to be the ticket. We walked up on a group of guys tossing rocks in the creek. I guess it was the Coho round up.

If you can get the access, I will bring the seabag. The g-friend and I went out last night looking for a deer, no deer, but I found those elk around hood. Nice bull and some cows. Rubs, wallows, about 1/4 mile down from were I kept looking. Next year!
