Default Cabela's Boat Seats

Anybody have an opinion on these? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa...requestid=18819

They're on sale right now for $29.99. I'm thinking about replacing the front seats in my drifter with them.

Default Re: Cabela's Boat Seats

Howdy - I have a cat boat and this past spring I was looking to replace the front seat from the standard pontoon fold down seats that are prevalent - I tried a bunch, top of the line fish rites (tempest) others from cabelas, fishermans and GI joes and the thing is, you cannot use any of them comfortably with a life vest on (which I always wear) the back of the vest pushes you to far forward in the seat and thus makes the seat unusuable. I did not want to replace the fold down pontoon seat because they are cheap IMO (the plastic base support bends and wears down to a breaking point) so I wnet with the classic Johndear tractor seat made in michigan and mounted it myself (SWEET SEAT) - they are angled so you can wear your vest and are very comfy with or without a vest on. They have a steel base and sell them at andy n bax. I went with the highback for added comfort. If anything, make sure you take your vest along when you test the seats out and mail ordering seats just doesnt work unless you have tried it out first and it works (From experience, I sent a few back). Good luck!
