Default Daylight savings time and fishing schedules

So, the talk about town is ending Daylight savings time.

I always get confused on the two... Spring forward, Fall back....

So, what exactly are they planning to do next year with the changes, and how will it affect how early/late we can start fishing and end fishing?

How, as a fisherman, would you like to see it changed, if at all?

Can you imagine if it were not light until 9 in the morning? Man! Getting up to fish early would not be a problem! The guides would love the extra sleep in, time!

Ya but what about sending the kids to the bus an hour b4 sunup. I can just imagine sitting around deer camp waiting for it to get light - so much for getting up at the crack of dawn being a big thing anymore.

Twig #1 wrote the President about her dislike for waiting for the school bus in the dark - she got a polite off topic reply and a pic of him next to the Presidential Egg Beater $1.84 in postage

Think about how much more electricity is used when we go back. Trun lights on at 4pm instead of 6pm. Leave it like it is, kids will be walking in daylight and coming home in daylight. We need to get this changed and be like Arizona, save the electricity.

But as far as fishin goes, get to sleep in and wait for daylight, just makes for a shorter day on the water, darn. Like them long days on the water. Let's go fishun!

my 2 cents!

Leave it like it is right now. So archaic to change forward and then backward. Plain silly.

The amount of actual daylight will not vary, therefore the amout of time spent fishing won't either. The only thing that would change is the time to get up and time to go to sleep.
Who cares about the clock anyway? I never get home on time regardless.

Dont plan on doing anything different next year, the law goes into effect in 2007. You could always practice and change early next year and see how it goes though?

In 2005, daylight time begins on April 3 and ends on October 30.
In 2006, daylight time begins on April 2 and ends on October 29.
In 2007, daylight time begins on March 11 and ends on November 4. [New law goes into effect.]

I think the sun will come up at sunrise no matter what time it is.

Sitting around for it to get light happens now. I have stood in the dark waiting for fishing time many times when it was daylight savings time.

If this is right we are only talking about 4 days.

You will always be able to fish an hour before sunrise and a hour after sunset.

I don't care and as far as I know fish don't care.

Looks like more than 4 days to me.

We should stay on "standard" time but it really doesnt matter. I dont wear a watch anyway.
