What hunt opened there today? Pheasant? Lots of rigs waiting out in the dark this morning about 6:00am.

Oh yes pheasant season opened. I got stuck at work but to of my friends went and went 3 for five. They said the birds were running alot.

It's the fee pheasant hunt. $11.50 tag for two birds, then go get another tag. Pretty fun but you sure need a dog - at least that's my experience.

I can get away with not using a dog since there are so many cross-road there. I also listen for the birds and run to the their calls. It is not a bad hunt just a little too far to drive when I can just go over the hill and hunt sauvie isl. There are usually enough hunters around you that they will kick birds to you along with their dogs.

Thanks guys, I knew that you would give me the straight poop. I drive by there 5 days a week and see this every fall. Its amazing how many cars and trucks will park there in the fall. Skein I understand the needing a dog part, the brush is a little thick in parts
