Default crack in hull? and insurance?

hello, some of you may know that i replaced the motor in my first boat(not first enigine swap, but MY first boat  ), a 18 ft mercedes fibergalss closed bow/no cabin. Well i installed the long block(thanks FSH4EVR!) this weekend, and when i was done i was looking over the boat and found in the rear where one of the rollers sits there our 2 cracks, about 6 inches long with water dripping out and a wet spot on the ground. I dont know if this is new or not, i probebly just never noticed before. So from my understanding the foam in the hull is going to be soaked and need to be replaced, this is not a project im ready to take on, ill stick to engines and drives thankyou. i do have insurence wich covers the hull, and i talked with harveys marine and he said i need a aproval from my insur. co first. so before i finish up the install, outdrive, intakes, dist, ect, is this something they will total? or try to repair? I got maybe? maybe not? from my Dad, the guy at Harveys, and my insur, guy. Just trying to plan ahead and maybe save myself a little work, any thoughts or opinions would be great. thanks all

How old is the boat and is there a hull warranty?

Depending on the circumstances the insurance company may or may not cover this. If it is an older boat they may call the cracks normal wear and tear that is not covered by insurance.

Now if you could site a specific incident where you hit something and caused the cracks, then it would be covered.

Thoses rollers are presure points on your hull and that's why I prefer the cradle type.

Its an 81', i was thinking the same thing on the rollers, i crawled under there after work tonight and pulled the front set of the 4 rear rollers and was pokeing around, it didnt seem soft like it was rotten. it has stopped dripping, it was parked nose down until i put the block in this weekend. also it was dark, and i maybe partially influenced when i last looked, but the other crack was a thin black mark from the wheel  thanks for the replys guys
