Default Upland hunting advice

Where close to Beaverton is there some good grouse hunting? Tilamook forest?

Did the Savies island pheasant hunt and need more action since I don't have a dog. Closest thing is the guy I am going with is really hairy.

Also does anyone know how often the stock sauvies? Is it just a one time thing or do the restock during the 2 week pheasant hunt? Also how many do they release a year?

I'm finding birds in the cool canyons with water still between in the Tillamook off Hwy 26.

i used to find a few grouse out in tillamook off of hwy 6. head up any of the roads you find around roger's camp or the road just west of the enterance into gale's creek. try to stick to the cooler shaded areas close to creek bottoms. also, i tend to find more of them on the northern and western sides of the hills where it stays wetter and the undergrowth is greener.
