Hi All,

I don't know if you all remember, but, roughly 7 weeks ago I posted a picture of a newborn litter (born on 8/10/03) that one of which was my new dog. Well, the day has finally come! I drove down to Eugene last night and picked him up. Here are a few pics:

He's a chocolate lab, and he's gorgeous. And, as I'm sure you can tell from the 2nd pic, he loves birds. :grin: (If the 2nd pic isn't enough, I got to see him in action with a live pigeon, he did awesome. He pinned it down, picked it up and carried it over to us.) Here's a couple more:

I got this pup from Brown Dog Retrievers. This litter has already been sold, so I hope this isn't taken as me advertising for purchase. I just feel it necessary to mention that Ed Arnett(owner) is a nice and informative guy. It's already obvious in this dog that he's put the time and effort into the pups. There are not loud noise shy at all, and he gets them on birds by 5 weeks. And I am a happy customer!

Anyways, back to playing with the pup.

He looks almost like mine that I got 14 months ago. She loved those pigeons also!
Your going to a busy man, keeping him busy! Invest the time, and you will be wonderfully rewarded.

Yes, he is a Rip pup.

And about those sharp teeth you bring up Lured... He has a tendency when he plays right now to want to gnaw on my hands, and such. He also likes to blindside me with those teeth when I am laying on the floor. Is this OK? I don't want him to grow to be a biter, but it seems all he wants to do is wrestle, which involves teeth/biting. Is this something they grow out of? Or will they continue to do this the rest of there lives if I don't tell him NO now?

This is my first puppy, so I'm not really sure what to expect. Thanks,
