Default 1st blood in the Gregor!

Well, at least the first salmon blood , I don't think Shad quite count

My brother-in-law came with me to the Siletz this morning and we fished from around 7:30 to 1:30. At around 11:45 I saw the tap, tap, tap and then BAM, he took off like a freight train. I caught him on a bait-wrapped green dot K-15. I then hooked up with his little brother about 1/2 hour later. Tried my best to hand off to my bro-in-law but he wouldn't take it. So, I brought him in and he also got the old The fish that is, not my bro-in-law!

At least I let him take the fish home, and I kept big brother fish. Mine weighed in around 22lbs and I would guess the smaller one at around 12lbs. I am still so pumped I'm not sure how I will get to sleep tonight.

Fishsticks, yes, I almost didn't go because I didn't think I would get anybody to go with me. My brother-in-law finally called me at around 10:00 p.m. to say that he could go.

The fishing was anything but hot, so I feel pretty fortunate to have been able to boat two. I think I only saw about three landed, even less than what I saw the previous Saturday. I think there were only about 7 checked into Coyote Rock when I left at about 1:30.

I had thought that the rains would maybe pick up things. Anyway, maybe the bite will really pick up this week! Good luck!
