Shadman...... go fishin'

Like mentioned in another post, when the water is real muddy those fish stay in the shallows near the bank. Make your presentation "smelly". Fishing is good......not great.. but good.
I was 2 for 7 take downs yesterday. Lost my biggest coho of the year on a huge log. If you where in the meat hole you probably saw me chaseing a log down stream. It took two of us to lift the log out of the water. My braided line was wraped around it so I HAD to chase it. I almost got spooled. It is good that I know the river and could run down the ripids as fast as I did.

will definately stop and say hello next time. As for the dirty water. I was letting my rig swing up to the bank and sit there but nothing happening. Maybe the eggs I was using need to be more "smelly"

Sir Fishalot Main scents are
1. Amerman eggs
2. Anise
Any thing else is to just mask the oil the get on my hands at work. I usually put a huge amount of Lemon Joy in my hands up in the parking lot and rub it in all the way down to the river and wash it off as I cross the river. Not sure if it works but I catch a fair amount of fish who knows

Did you get a dog YD? I noticed the pooch in the background admiring your catch.

Looks like we did let a few past us after all. Nice fish.

Yes and if I am there, come on over. I don't care. I will show you where I cast.
It is just like if all the coho are running on the Washinton side of the Columbia at Hammond and not the Oregon side, everyone fishes the Washingtom side. Wouldn't you ???? Go where you have the BEST possiblity to get a fish. Tons of people love the Meat hole becuase the amount of fish that stack there. I like the places where the fish are on the move and are the most aggressive.

Geez now your even giving people free advice on how to catch fish in MY HOLE at Hammond!!!

When will it end!

That's it. I will be at Cedar Creek this week with an ugly stick and a few ounces of lead breaking out all my old school doughball techniques. I have no idea how to do it so look out people!

If you guys can't catch fish it is all Yarndog's fault.

I think Steelhead22 is complimenting you actually yarndog.. he seems thrilled that you found the one place in the whole world where you're guaranteed to catch fish no matter what you throw out there.. There might even be a sense of jealousy in his tone, afterall, he wasn't the one to find that one magical spot.

steelhead22.... shaddap.

Boy I was out there today and I did not hook anything, and looked like the island was hot today. I gave up around 8 a.m. and headed to a secret creek and got my limit where there lots of fish near the island today?

[petunias!] you didn't respond? Did you honestly think I cared? I ask lots of people for tips (since I don't quite know everything, yet), and I'm also happy to respond to most questions I receive. How long ago was that anyways, months? And, I'm always happy to fish a rock with yarndog.

Bottom line, I don't know you, but you come across quite condescending in your posts, and I do personally know yarndog, and he's a good guy who doesn't mind helping others out. Therefore, I guess you could say I felt the need to say something when I saw him being bad-mouthed for posting a picture. Go figure.
