Default what were they doing?

I was out elk hunting near Olallie sunday and drove past a guy in a truck with a bunch of hounds. I think it's illegal to hunt cougar with dogs now, right?. Maybe he was just giving them some excercise or dry runs or something like that. Hummm??.

It is still legal to run hounds on Bobcats and Racoons.

I don't know about Oregon, but here in Washington ever since hounds were banned for bear and cat hunting, hound hunters still hunt bears and cougars but they get paid to do it, whether the money comes from the Fish and Wildlife Dept. or private timber comanies like Weyerhaeuser I'm not sure. But I talked to a guy a couple years ago up in the Willapa Hills, I believe he was working for Weyerhaeuser, and if I remember right he hunted bears and cougars in Oregon also.
