Rain !! = CHANTERELLES

At least I hope so; we were dry there for a while, but we did have some nice spring rains, that are supposed to be very advantageous to the growth of chants'.
It is hard for me this time of year I can't wait to get a fall fish but those chanterelles can be temporary as well. To fish or to go 'shrooming? Hmm, guess I will have to do both .
I will be taking the last week of October off and the first week of November off to fish and go chanterelling. Let me know if you want to tag along then or perhaps some Sunday afternoon.

i picked a bag full today while deer hunting.maybe thats why i didnt see a deer!!!was in the coast range west of timber a ways.

I've already gotten some. They are out... just mostly tiny. Just wait a bit! :smile:

They are best when they are tiny. I used to wait until they were big and flowery, but I found I just had to cook them for a half hour to get the water out. Now I pick them as soon as I see them, and this weekend, i was seeing them!
