Default Wanted, pheasant hunting ideas!

I have two very eager labs looking for some roosters to chase this fall. The older of the two has been settling for Chukar and Quail with an occasional rooster for the last couple of years. Both dogs are birdy and willing. If anyone has some ideas short of travelling to the valley to hunt the planted pheasant game, pass them my way. I really want to work my dogs and really don't care if I shoot.

I have hunted Irrigon and Umatilla refuges with mild success in the past. And yes, I have found quite a bit of UCAP property but most have only huns, chukar, and quail. Probably going to take a drive east and north in the next week or so to do some door knocking, but will pay to play as well. Thanks for any advice or info you all could pass along.

one time wile out scouting the white rive wildlife management area we ran across one don’t know how many are around there but have seen them on the farms and stuff the surround there so I’m sure some wander in hunting the edges around the farm land might be good. Just keep the Dog from chasing the turkeys might be a little interesting

Keep in mind that should you buy a tribal permit, you will still have to get permission from the party leasing that portion of the reservation. Any land worthy of holding birds will be in production (Growing Crops) and the people leasing this ground are usually up to thier eyeballs in family and friends who will be hunting the first couple of weeks. Although there are still a great many who assume that they are permitted to hunt ANYWHERE on the reservation.
