Default Pacific City Boat Ramp Fish Pics 09/29/05

I fished with some good friends today at Pacific City Boat Ramp. My friend Ron, and his family fished with us today. Their kids were the only ones doing any catching.

Here is David with his proud poggie catch!!!

Here is Amelia with her proud poggie catch!!! She is holding up 6 fingers to show how many she caught (look on rock to see the bullhead).

Well, if the Chinook are not biting, then you have to improvise to catch fish.

Low tide came and went, and no bobber fish. High tide came and went and no bobber fish. Where are the fish?

I take that back, the first and only bobber fish was taken on the point by a lucky angler at about 2:00 PM on the outgoing tide . I think there might have been only 1 spinner fish all day also.

The Guard Rail Hole should be called the Ghost Rail Hole. There were no one fishing it. Last year at this time, the Guard Rail Hole was HOT. This year, it is NOT.

I too saw that there was no one fishing the rail today, should be a few in there though since they have to go through there at some point.Hard to get a report of any kind when no one is fishing it.

Great pics SKP.Thanks for the update.

No one fishing because there hasn't been anything caught for a while compared to other local choices. I tried a few times in the last 2 weeks, no luck, moved elsewhere, and Bingo!

I also tried the Guard Rail in my boat with Kwikfish on the afternoon outgoing yesterday. We did not hook anything, and no one was fishing it. A couple guys stopped and pitched spinners for 1/2 hour, but they also had no luck. We had the whole Guard Rail Hole to ourselves for most of the two hours we fished it. I anchored right in the bobber water. Last year, I would have been yelled at for ancoring there. Yesterday, no one was there to yell. But it didn't matter, we did not hook any fish there.

Maybe the ocean conditions have taken their toll coast wide. Where are the fish? Marie at Tillamook Bait said Tillamook area was doing real well, so I don't know why the Nestucca is slow. Some fish are being caught, but not that many.

SKP, Thanks for the not so hot report! Nice poggies. I hope the fish are late? That would be better than a no show!

I thought it looked a little more empty.
