Owyhee bucks

I've wanted to hunt bucks in the desert for years and now I have a tag. Don't know the country but am willing to hike into remote areas to find a big boy. Any suggestions on where to hunt?

I hunted there last year and couldn't find a big one so finally shot a forky. We camped at the state camp ground by the dam - lots of deer hunters there. We hunted by boat - getting up before daylight and motoring 10 miles down the reservoir, beaching the boat and hiking the ravines. We saw lots of deer, just no big bucks. I ended up shooting my buck about a 1/2 mile from our camp. That's wide open country and there should be some nice deer there, but when we left camp on Thursday, there were only 6 deer hanging - one three point and the rest spikes and forks. I was just over-there last week. We saw lots of bucks...
#1 you have to be near water.
#2 you have to be in a spot that you want to glass befor light.The bucks are off the sage 30 minuets after sunrise.
#3 Back to where you want to glass 2 hr be for sunset....It's a spot and stalk game.
#4 Nap and beer the rest of the day
