Default crawdads ... year round or ?

are crawdads catchable year round or do they molt like a crab causing less meat?

In the rivers it might be harder to find them due to colder temps, and faster moving water due to run off.

As for lakes, I have never dabbled with them there so I cannot say whether you will have any luck.

I think the crawdads do molt over the winter months though.
