Ive amended the rules to account for only 7 players
If you want out, say so. You will owe 3 corkies to this weeks winner.

First and foremost. NO money will be exchanged.
Corkies will be wagered. Ante up 42 corkies in a post, and then post your picks each week! (and whatever smack you think will get under stew or Hoghunters skin)
There are 14 weeks remaining in the regular season. You bet a minimum of 3 corkies per week, you lose 14 weeks (14x3=42)..your out! You must win ONE WEEK to make it to the playoffs.

Each week, you pick 3 games to wager on.
Make a post indicating the teams, and your guess of the final TOTAL POINTS SCORED of each game.

Example:

BUFF vs NO 38 total points scored

PHILLY vs KC 27 total points scored

SF vs AZ 14 total points scored

Wager as many corkies as you wish on each game, just make sure you have enough corkies to cover your bets!

DO NOT edit your post. (I will have a copy of the original)

Some notes. If you do not post your picks in any week, or post two teams that are NOT playing each other, or otherwise mess up your post, You still owe 3 corkies to the pool and have no chance of winning that week.

and the winner takes all.

If you'd like to opt out due to these amendments, please honor your first bet of three corkies
to this weeks winner- Salmonberry Jeff. And make a post that you want out before Sundays Opening
kickoff.

Ill try to make this simple...anyone who wants in will ante up 42 corkies just like everyone else did, but you need to pay the pot 3 corkies for each week you missed so you dont have any advantage (or any more of a disadvantage than anyone else)

Tim, you missed 1 week, so you pay 3 corkies to the pot, and have 39 left to bet with.

Ill assume you want in too waterfowlin?
You too will pay 3 corkies to the pot for week 4 that you missed. And will have 39 left to bet with.

Heres the updated standings going into week 5

Salmonberry Jeff = 60 corkies
Row Vs Wade = 39 corkies
Eat, sleep, fish = 39 corkies
Wang = 39 corkies
Chrome Mandinga = 39 corkies
Kentucky Hoghunter = 39 corkies
Stew = 39 corkies
Crambone = 39 corkies
Waterfowlin = 39 corkies
Week 5 pot = 6 corkies
(to be awarded to the week 5 winner)

The idea behind this is: Crambone and waterfowlin pay 3 corkies for the week they missed because everyone else risked 3 corkies too. If either of them win week 5...they win them back.

We can do this for ALL latecomers...3 corkies into the following weeks pot for each week they miss, everyone has an equal chance of winning them.

This will apply to the regular season ONLY. No new players after the pools 14th week because any latecomer would have to put 42 corkies in the pot to play, and then they'd have none left to bet with! (14 missed weeks @ 3 corkies per week into the pot = 42 corkies)

If you dont win at least ONE regular season week, you will not have any corkies left for the playoffs. This applies to everyone, even the latecomers.

Well, if everyone else only bets 1 per game...there is no benefit.

But say I bet 5 corkies on Tampa Bay Vs new England as one of my three weekly picks.

If the winner of that week also bet 5 on the same game, they win my 5 corkies. If not..they only get the standard ONE corkie per game per player (because they won, but didnt see my raise)
