Hunting on closed land?

I'm wondering where everyone has been hunting. Every one of the Timber companies has closed their land - which means most of the Wilson & Saddle Mt units are completely closed.

State forestry told me today they've returned to level 1, meaning relaxing most restrictions...but they can't make the private companies reopen land...

Not all timber companies have the same closure restrictions. check out this link: http://www.odf.state.or.us/DIVISIONS...te_Closure.asp

You will notice that some companies still allow walk in access during severe conditions. If in doudt give them a call most will let you know what you can and cant do. All Weyerhaeuser lands in Columbia, Clatsop and Washington county are open for walk in use according to there long winded recorded message 1-888-741-5403.

Last time I checked, Weyerhaeuser lands in Clatsop county are open as of Tuesday, lands in Columbia and Washington county were still closed. Best bet is call the hunter hotline before you go.
