Very nice Congrats! Thanks for posting the photos, too. Look's like it will be a tasty one (much better than unpunched tag). Agian congrats!

Congrats! My first was over thirty years ago. It's the one I'll always remember. I still have the antlers on my wall.
You'll cherish the memories.

Default First Archery Kill

Well, its taken 5 years, but persistence has
finally paid off. I've got my first big game kill, a nice young mule deer buck.
Actually, the first kill was a young grouse, but
that doesn't really count.

He was shot at 6:00 pm on Tuesday 9/2/2003, from a distance of 40 yards.

Hello nitrobass,
He was hit in the middle of the heart.
The broadhead almost cut a nice hole.
When the arrow struck him, a big red spot immediately appeared on his side before he took off with his mouth open.

He ran off and we waited about 30 minutes before we started tracking.
We tracked the blood trail for twenty feet and could see him about 20 feet in front of us.
From the looks of it, he died within seconds of
being shot.

This one was in the Cascades, near Diamond Peak.

I think thats like 4 ounces of facepaint I have on!
