Default Kids science experiments with household stuff

Saw a blurb on CNN about this - Howtoons. Some projects kids can do with household items to pique their interest in science.

When I was a kid I used my dads fine burbon to preserve a gardner snake that we had disected-He wasn't impressed. My wife teaches school and she does a cray paper hot air ballon that is launched with a camp stove- the kids love it they are about 2 ft dia and go up realy high.

I'm suprized that I didn't blow up the kitchen when I was a kid. ...My Mom taught me some cool stuff, and somehow knew I would go to the edge.
