Hood River Info?? Please Help!

My brother is here in town and wants to go fishing. Anyone have any reports for Hood River or The Sandy River? Such as, where to fish on either rivers. Any info would be very helpful. He's from the Midwest and has never fished or seen Steelhead or Salmon. Hoping we might get lucky. Pm's welcome.

Bob,
I live in Hood River and I can tell you there is not much going on with the Hood this time of year. The river is very, very low. The cooler nights have cleared the glacial silt a bit. That said, I have not fished it since the spring and I do not know of anyone who has fished it lately. I would think the Sandy would be a better bet with more coho pulling in by the day.
