Default Early Goose Season

The problem with this time of year is what to do. There is a half dozen cool things to persue this Saturday and the early goose season is one of them. Here is a picture from 3 years ago. Prints, Fly and A.J. (from left) display typical Lab type smiles from an opening weekend on Sauvie is.
Anyone else going to give it a try?

Tilla...is that picture just to make you feel better about not getting an elk?

I will be spending the goose opener chasing antelope, so shoot a few for me.

LI,
I have plenty of time left to chase Elk. The hunt was a success, I saw plenty of animals everyday, lost some arrows, got the adrenaline going, made plenty of mistakes and did not have to pack anything up a canyon.....perfect!
So much fun I am gonna go do it again!

I may go out Saturday afternoon.I haven't seen a lot of birds in the valley.I did turn down an invite to go in the morning but other more important things take priority(try and explain that to a whining lab).Anyone have an opening for an evening hunt?Tilla?hint, hint

Great photo Tilla and great post.

I can relate to your dilema. I used to love the early season and have lined up a few multiple kill shots myself. I love shooting and eating geese and the early season is such a bonus here. What it finally came down to this year is that I like eating the URB's better so it's bad news for Salmon.

Whatever good option that you select, put the hammer on them.
