Dad and brother both have tags and will be looking for bucks. I might take my bow up there and chase some elk around after the morning rifle hunt with the family.

We saw a few Does but no bucks.I really thought the rain was going to help us out alot more. Oh well there is still the general season I guess.

We also saw quite a few of grouse on the roads. We were up above Breitenbush <sp>. If you want more details on where drop me an e-mail.

i was out on opening saturday through tuesday. we didn't see any deer until the last day and that was one fork horn well after the wun went down.

as for the grouse. we saw tons of grouse and quail on the logging roads in between the washington and sisters wilderness areas. we took a few minutes each day and bagged a couple. if not for that, i would have come home empty handed.

Hey Jeremy,

If you aren't going to hunt those grouse up, I would sure like to know where you found them. I am heading out this weekend, and am not sure how far south I feel like driving. If you are going to go back after them, then I understand. I hear there are plenty to be had.

Thanks,

Wade
