Columbia river steel, just above cascade locks

I caught this one with a size 1 Gami, pink corkie and pink yarn with anise scent, about 3 foot of 8 lb leader, I feel lucky to catch my 3rd steelhead in 4 years. The fish never jumped out of the water once, but made a good fight, the tail fin although not shown, was large in proportion to the size of the fish.

Yes, thats the one, I love the color of these fish, I had to get it out of the plastic bag in the frig 2 times just to look at it. It smelled just like a big trout before I filet'd it, but had the distinction of having orange meat. 1/2 went on the BBQ sunday and everyone loved it!
