TUNAHOLICS UNITE!
About time we got together and commiserated. How about Thursday, September 29, Lucky Lab brew pub, 9th and Hawthorne? 5:00pm 'til they throw us out!
This is your opportunity to show off the tackle that worked and to share ideas on what we will do differently next year. Samples of fine tuna eats will also be dispatched if available.
This is also an excellent opportunity for y'all to meet and rub elbows with the tuna skippers who may have open seats next year and for the inexperienced to gain some knowledge.
I suspect a westside TA meeting can also be scheduled in the near future for those unable or unwilling to go east of the Zoo.
What say ye, mates?

I say we warn them that we're coming.
I'll drag the wife along also, count me in for two...

Re: TUNAHOLICS UNITE!
Lots of competition this time of year, like maybe a late tuna/salmon run, or hunting season, or some early river fishing, etc, etc. Maybe we need to cool off for a little while then pull one together.

Re: TUNAHOLICS UNITE!
Portland is a long way for some of us and a long drive home afterwards. You know what it's like, you have to do it after a Newport fishing trip! 'cept I'd be doing it after an adult beverage, a no-no for me.

Re: TUNAHOLICS UNITE!
Ron- there is alway a p[ossibility of trying for a TA meeting here in Corvallis say in a week or two. the last one was at woodstocks and was a smashing hit (granted it was right before the season opened up and right after an early june tuna catch)
I dont hink now is a good time...western buck season opens this weekend and college classes start monday and there are alays those who are try the late season bite and hoping for salmon in other places.
I agree we really could use a comisseration party though.

The next day it the last Halibut day on the North coast - what's up with that? Hard to drink all night and still hit the Halibut in the AM!

Re: TUNAHOLICS UNITE!
It's on for whoever shows up. It only takes a few to have a TA meeting.
I think we will have another maybe between Haloween and Thanksgiving and try for a big turnout.

Re: TUNAHOLICS UNITE!
I'll be there too, wife in tow. (Actually she'll be driving?)
Mr. Crabbait sir...any chance of bringing one of them purty 'spiral-wrapped' rods. I'd like to see one first hand.
I could use a project or two for the off season.
Hope to see as many as possible there!

Re: TUNAHOLICS UNITE!
Thanks for organizing the TA Meeting last night.
It's been a while for me. It was good to meet some new faces.
Better attendance could have been had (at no fault of anyone) but understandibly, this is still harvest time for many of us.
I look forward to larger TA meetings in the future.
Don't wait too long to call me about your boat jewelry. People are starting to wise-up and get in line early this year...
Thanks again,
Ragnar
