Tooth Ache....Hot or Cold Pack

Sitting here with a horrible tooth ache.

Is hot pack or cold pack helpful?

Dentist.

Try this -

Chew an Asprin on the sore tooth.

I know that sounds bad, but as my Pharmacist buddy pointed out to me, Asprin is an analgesic and will help deaden pain in an affected area, especially in the mouth.

Don't expect too much though.

Make the appointment!

PS - Hot packs are better

dentise will drill and pull the roots for about $150. this will buy ya time to get the $1200 for the rootcanal and crown. 175 gets it yanked. go now or it will get worse-

I think the cold pack will work better than heat. But you should get the tooth taken care of. I had an absessed tooth many many years ago. I will never let that happen again.

Tooth pain is the worst kind. Good luck.

Toothaches are the worst. Worse than an aortic dissection, in my opinion....

The worst pain I ever had was a tooth ache.....and I have had open heart surgery.

I called the dentist at home on Sunday Morning and asked if he participated in any Dentist assisted suicide program.

He met me at the office at 7:30 am on Sunday morning for a yank em and bank em procedure.

Life was once again all good.

Toothaches are bad, but not as nasty as kidney stones! Had an absessed tooth

once, would place a Bufferin directly on it and got by until the dentist office got me in. I keep a bottle of Percocet's in the cupboard for when the kidney stones rear their ugly heads.

Got into the Dentist yesterday and "yep, you need a root canal" I lay back in the chair and he says, "can't do it now, come back on Friday." Oh well got some pain medication and will see him again on Friday. Sounds like a good way to ruin my weekend.

once the root canal is done, the pain of the procedure will be so much less then the pre-procedure pain you will feel better IMO. plus you get happy pills

I just had a wisdom tooth removed a couple of weeks ago. As soon as they numbed the area, I was in goood shape. :grin: :grin: :grin:

Doc gave me percodan for the pain. I kinda slept all weekend after that.

I think I will ask for a presciption of "fishing". The wife will buy it I'm sure. Actually if anybody is heading to the coast for a little T-Bay nook bonking let me know, I'd love to go along and help offset your expenses. I'f I get cranky cause of the tooth you can always bonk me too.
