Re: Timber and Dory Presents
Flathead, I have had a lot of folks tell me that his is steep. People who have and have seen these dogs realize that they are of exceptional breeding. Where for most folks this doesn't matter I mean a good looking dog is a good looking dog and beauty is in the eye of the beholder and owner. There are plenty of fine dogs out there at a fraction of the price, I guess it can be related to a Ford Pinto and a Rolls Royce and every other in between. There are a lot of good ones out there and then there are some great ones. I am trying for the very best and it is very expensive on my part as well. I have spent as much as a $1000 looking for a good female and have been known pay $800 for a part ownership in certain dogs. This is usually when I want a dog that the owner doesn't want to give up so we will partner up and see if it pans out. Just looking for perfection. Also perfection is an opinion that is not shared by all. Even the lab breeders can't decide what is perfection or what the dog was bred to do. Some think long legs no coat big dogs are the answer, soem think short squat dogs can perform longer and better and some think that the correct Lab is medimum lots of coat big heads lots of bone, medimun higth and stocky is the answer this is where I stand. One thing that I demand from a dog that comes into my program is that it hunts and excells at it, Secondly it must not be dog agressive it must have a good temperment, Then it must look like a lab the way I think they should look.
Now look what you made me do! I will get off my soap box. This bred is great lets keep it that way folks.
