Default Camo

Looking for suggs on a camo patern to be used in the coast range. Breathability in a good quality rainproof suit is paramount.

RvW any woodlands or green based camo will be perfect. As for waterproof material that breathes...Gore Tex is the top dawg there. Lots of companies make Gore Tex fleece which is nice stuff. Saddle Cloth is good stuff too but doesnt breathe too well. Wool keeps you warm but I hate hunting in it.

I'd go to a surplus store and get a solid pair of woodlands BDU's for pants, then a buy a nice gore tex fleece sweatshirt.

Getting a little wet makes you hunt harder!

Being the "Camo King" I am, I would suggest Mossy Oak Shadow Leaf pattern as it has the most green in it and blends in good. I hunt turkeys in the spring and have to change my patterns from Forest Floor to Shadow Leaf as the leaves bud and spring happens. Just blend in with the bush you are nearest to and don't move!

if you are looking for quiet waterproof camo, go to g.i. joes and check out the h2p. it isn't breathable, but it is quiet, waterproof and warm and come is in mossy oak camo. when i say waterproof, i mean you can stand in your shower with the water going full blast and not get wet! my friend developed it. he is from the portland area and i grew up hunting with him down in the mckenzie unit during the final week of deer season. you know how wet it is down there. he got tired of getting soaked, and developed this stuff just for the type of weather we have here in the northwest. his company is now based out of seattle. the stuff is really tuff and it works for keeping you dry,

I believe my raingear is Silent style raingear from...Remington? I think remington makes my brand. I have had it for 4 seasons now and have washed it and it still doesn't leak. I had another brand that was made inthe northwest but I had nothing but problems with it. The stuff always leaked and I finally took it back because it never worked. I had several others tell me the same thing. This...sorry, no I went to check the brand, it is Woolrich. The stuff has never leaked and it is reasonable breathable. I use it in the rainy season and for deer when it is warm.
