Default Coastal chrome & lost and found!! (pictures)

Frogpond and I headed over to the coast this afternoon to scout out some low water steelies and here are the results!

Here is a nice picture that frogpond snapped while I was fightin my first steely!

I released this nice buck, so I wouldn't have to pack it all the way to the truck and it also had a golf size tumor near it's right ventral fin.

I let forgpond have first shot at this hole that I hadn't yet fished this year, however, this buck fell to my float and shrimp.

Here's my imfamous dead fish portait with my new Curado 201 Bantom SF that is a float combo w/ a GL3 1263 8-12lb 10'6" Rod!

We headed up river to another area late in the day, frogpond went downstream and caught this nice buck with sea lice on it w/ a float and jig.

As we marched upstream today, I took advantage of the great weather and low water to collect alot of gear! Anyone reconize any of there gear?

Yep, that is the fish that christened that rod & reel. Thanks! It went fishless all weekend...I was starting to lose hope. In reality, I just had to fish my come back hole. It was fun!!!

Gotta Fish,

I am usind 10# maxima perfletion on my bobber reods, both casting and spinning. On my drift rods I use 10# clear maxima.

The clear maxima is very hard to find around here and is great!

Alot of people don't liek the prefletion, since they don't understand the line is underrated in breaking stregth and was desinged to go head to head w/ florocarbon lines. It sinks fast cause of it's density and has a very very low memory and tends to be almost still like a flourocarbon.
Overall ti si a very very good line.

Got2Fish-
I changed one of the spools to power pro, but kept the other...for now. There was nothing wrong with the DNA. I just prefer the power pro. Just ask Ty how much I get hung up in trees...I have yet to loose a float while fishing with the power pro, while with mono I have lost several. I will probably go with the Maxima Perfexion for summer fish.

Anyway, that reel is super smooth and the rod handled that fish very well.

I use a Sony Cybershot 5.0 megapixels DSC-P10. It is very light weight and compact and I have great littel waterproof pelican for it too!

The pictures u gusy see on here do no justice to he quality that 5 megapixels is.

Ty--great fish pics--I especially like the rodnreel though--my exact same setup! People tease me about my great big rod and itty bitty reel, but I love mine. Have you tried it with power pro or braid?

Gthfish, I have fished that rod w/ 401 Calcutta TE and 65# tough line. It is perfect for springers and fall fish w/ spectra!
