Default What's it worth?

I have a question I hope someone can answer for me. I have a friend trying to sell a shotgun for a gun that I am interested in. It is a Weatherby o/u orion sporting model 3" 12 gauge. It has inlays in the wood, probably 98% or better condition, 5 chokes, engraving.....I am not sure of the grade having only had it described to me over the phone by a guy who doesn't have much knowledge about shotguns (self-admitted). My question is what you folks think it is worth? Hold on to your hats when I tell you what they are asking for it.....$700. Any and all help would be appreciated, pretty sure I am going to buy it after taking a drive to look at it, but thought maybe someone with some knowledge could tell me a things or two.

Thanks Again,

Deschutes2

I got an Wby orion Upland which is the basic field gun for ~$900 new a year ago (and that was a pretty good deal).

The sporting and high grade models go for more and are harder to find. $700 sounds fair if its in really good condition (I would have bought it a year ago)
