Default It's raining!

Woke up this morning to the smell of fresh sage and juniper. It is raining here in Bend. For years I have dreamed about a wet and cool opening weekend for archery season. We could have had it this year if they hadn't moved the opener. This weekend is the usual opening date. Looks like it is going to be hot and dry again late next week and into the weekend.
Can't complain too much I have also dreamed about having just one more week of hunting at the end of the season. Usually, just when the bulls are getting really hot in the rut the season ends. This should be a good season. No moon opening weekend. Dry conditions will keep the elk near the water holes. Anyone heading to the Sumpter area?

Also, we had fighter jets overhead all night flying slow circles around Bend and Sunriver. Keeping the leader of the free world safe from harm. It was a comfortable feeling knowing that if anyone decided that yesterday was the day to launch an all out attack on Bend Oregon, we were protected.
