Re: C\'mon Baby......
Of course it's gonna be nice at the beach. It's our 22nd anniversary and it's O-fest weekend, so I'm staying on this side of the mountains.
Have fun

Re: C\'mon Baby......
Chris,
What you planning on running for - tuna? I might not be able to resist an ocean like that and wouldn't mind throwing some swimbaits.

Re: C\'mon Baby......
Chris,
The plan is to hit the Ranch so my wife can tag her last flattie, then head to waters west from there for Charlie. On the way back, we were going to troll some spoons for some Salmon. You wanna run with us? We will be launching around 6:00 am.

Re: C\'mon Baby......
3rd Chris - Fishitis reporting back:
AP - I'm not decided on Depoe vs Newport yet. I prefer your plan as I'm used to Newport. However, I'd like to find the shortest path to the fish and I'm concerned about restrictions at Newport - low tide is at 6:35 with a strong ebb. We'll probably wait to cross the bar at 6:30 if it's open, otherwise go up to Depoe. If we do Newport, we'll probably cross the Ranch and look you up. I'm tagged out on halibut, but my crew might want to stop for a quickie.
I'd also like to stick with the largest crowd. I'll talk to you Friday after we've firmed up plans. I'm willing to join the search party if someone wants to point me in a particular direction/location.
The Other Chris

Re: C\'mon Baby......
I really doubt Newport will be restricted. I have crossed that bar many a times on a strong ebb with a 4 foot swell in the ocean and have never had a problem with restrictions. If we have a bigger swell than predicted, I might hit Depoe. I just do not like launching out of Depoe. Crappy parking, tight quarters, no dock space, and no place to rinse off.
Let's get in touch Friday and get something planned.
