Default New spotting scope

My wonderful wife got me a new spotting scope for our aniversary. Its a Nikon 15-45X60 covered in Realtree cammo. It came with the carry case, tripod and window mount. All of which are in cammo except the case. I really haven't had any experience with Nikon. Any tips on use and care? It says water resistant, should I keep it out of the rain? I did spot several deer the first night using it, it has great low light visibility...

Tag - I hope you get a lot of use out of your new scope.

As you can see by the banner add, Nikon is an ifish sponsor.

I will be packing a Nikon Spotter 16-47 x 60 Spotting scope this season. I will also be using a Nikon Monarch 3.5-10 x 50 rifle scope.

I hope they perform well and dont fail. I will be posting the results after I am done putting them to the test.

Same to you BOE. I'll post on the water resistance if we get any rain. I tested the sliding sunshade yesterday, and it works great. No glare at all. I think I'm gonna like this. Now, I can spot and hunt and not drive and shoot..
