IFISH Goose Hunt Date
I spoke with Dave and Brad today. They are looking forward to another goose hunt with us. We need to come up with some dates soon to get them locked up. The first 3 weekends in Jan. 2004 are our likely best dates. They killed them big time last year then. We also need to decide if we want 1 or 2 days. We will get the same rate as last year if we have 10 or more hunters per day. Maximum of 15 hunters per day. $140.00 per day.
Dates
1/3,4/04
1/10,11/04
1/17,18/04
Everyone can give input on the dates.
The guys that hunted last year get first shot at signing up this year.
Lets hear when you want to hunt.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
I am leaning towards the weekend of the 10 and 11. Probably hunting 2 days. If I can tolerate Lured In that long. Maybe we take 2 Saturdays who knows. Lets get this figured out. I know one thing is for sure. I'M IN

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
I second those dates, the weekend of the 10 and 11.
I just hope I can bring enough smoked stuff to satisfy GR&B. Not sure if anyone else got to taste the bacon wrapped goose I brought last time.
I know one thing is for sure. I'M IN

er...sorry, my keyboard wasn't working right. I think all that slobber was shorting it out. Count me in for both days. The 10th and 11th sound just fine.
Did I mention that I had a good time last year? Hehehe.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
Definitely in for at least one of the days and the weekend of the 10th should work great. (The prior weekend I will be celebrating my birthday.) Just think Rauly, that puts me one year closer to being over the hill like you.
As far as tolerating me for the weekend, I am sure a couple of rounds of Ensure with some Jack Daniels in it should help you out.
I'll check with my buddy Bruce to see if he is game again. We have another friend back in town from Arizona who will probably want to go to.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
Last year I was skeptiple (sp) then I saw the photos. This year I guess that I should be there. So count me in. Just so's that I'm in front of Mike T. I figure that is the safest place.

Danny Boy,
I know where you live, where you hunt, and what your truck looks like.
This is no safe place for you.

Too much fun to miss. As long as Gooseman brings enough snacks  If need be, I'll bring along a quad trailer...for the snacks.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
Uh, GRB, good idea on the quad trailer. Only this time let's use MY quad.
I can bring my BigBear for hauling stuff. It runs.
Kingfisher, go get the goose id tape at Joes and send for the pamphlet for the test. It's worth it! It's a small price to pay for all the hunting it opens up.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
my first choice would be 1/3 and 4, but could do any of the weekends.
If one day - I'd take Saturday over sunday.
I'd be up for 2 days if on the same weekend, would be really nice if it was a travel to get to the hunt.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
I'd go, but my Oregon State resident license is going to expire on 12/31. I am moving to Vancouver and will have to pay out of state prices after that. How much is that anyway Lured?

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
Ah yes Brad it has been good. Best of all is all the geese that are flying around Astoria. Might have to do a combo trip of geese in the morning and salmon in the afternoon. Now that would be a picture.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
Bounty Hunter...Its not too bad. About $50 for the license and $35 for the "bird tag" (includes both upland and waterfowl, no option to split.) If you are like me and after moving to WA, I still hunt in Oregon 90% of the time. Keep in mind, only your license expires at the end of the year. Your tags are good from July 2003-June of 2004. (State and Fed stamps.) So come year end, all you should have to get is your non resident license. (you'll need it anyway for Turkey and Big Game apps. )

I would love to see what this is all about.

...and it's probably a guy thing, right?
Ahhhhhhhhhhh never mind! Have fun!

Bill wants to know who Dave and Brad are, and where it is. Is there still room left?

I'd be interested in joining also, have lab, decoys, and quad. Any of those weekends would work just fine also. Let me know if there's room.

Re: IFISH Goose Hunt Date
I'm wearing full faced helmet and body armor this year. After watching all those geese fall out of the sky, i'm convinced they were out for thier final revenge.
I'm not following Get Bit's directions to the Blind either - I still think some of the party is wandering around that hay field.

Hey Stew,
I want to do this. I went pheasant hunting on Monday with Shawn & his father-in-law and we bagged 12 birds.
What a hoot. I definately would like to hook up with you & Grant and do some hunting this winter for water fowl.
