Ah,

Just go out and buy an "Old Salty Flasher", or "Konezone
Flasher".

Someone has too of figured it out! It shouldn't take much to get one to spin. Great, crazy boy returns to the garage with cd's in hand. I can hear my wife already..

Here are some recycled AOL CD's. Got tired of throwing them away. I've only fished them a few times when fish were biting. Had a couple takedowns but fish came unbuttoned. They look nice in the water. A slow roll with a BIG flash on the underside. I wish I had more chances at ocean salmon this year. I think that's where these would really shine. TB

I think we may have solved the mystery of, "if I just could get my wobbler to work in this light current?" This could be big.

I posted some pictures of home made fish flashes in the shape of fish, you can do a search under flashers in the gallery, as of today they have put 7 fish in the box at Hammond off down rigger at 25 feet.

For ocean flashers, you gotta use DVDs. Same size, but a lot more capacity. My dad told me that back in his day they had to use 8-track tapes and troll uphill. Both ways.

TB - You done real good there! Very nice. Kinda artistic. You should keep after those things and catch some fish with them, because the ones you do catch will be a lot more fun.

Flashers IMHO are just a way to tangle lines. Sure, I use them, but half of the time they just take up time, and I catch as many fish without them. Discuss

I too have made my own flashers, and they worked well this year in the saltwater, some lexan from home depot and a heat gun worked wonders, just copied the basic delta flasher, and added some reflective tape, why spend so much money when they are so easy to make?
