Default Best Fishes - I have a question

I read on another post that you have a Nova Retriever. I am very interested in these dogs and was wondering if you could tell me anything about them. I hear that when compared to a lab they are exceptionally smart. I looked into getting one a few years ago but the only place I could find one was in Maine. If you don't mind I would appreciate any information you have or someone I could contact. I have a lab now who is a great hunting companion and is spoiled rotten. I was going to think about a visla, but I am still weighing my options. It is very hard on my 85 lb lab for a full day of upland hunting and I want another to train in which I could use for upland and waterfowl I hear your dog will do both.
I also heard something that I hold suspect about the Nova's- The hunters that use them in their homeland let the dogs run back and forth and wag thier tails which attracts ducks. I don't know if this is true but I bet that would be hilarious to watch and try out around here. Thanks in advance.
